Remember a time when we were all complaining that there were no cool places to go to and have a decent drink? That we had no interesting choices for food or coffee? Well, now I think we cannot go on with that attitude, since the new openings all around the island are too many (to begin with) and most of them do sound very interesting. A few selections I’ve highlighted, worth checking out.
Estrella in Limassol and soon in Nicosia If you’ve been to Athens or Thessaloniki you’re supposed to know about this one and their very popular brunch. Estrella is now open in Limassol and soon in Nicosia. An all day breakfast and brunch joint, very popular for their “mbougatsan”.

Duke’s All Day Bar
A modern and spacious espresso bar with good coffee, smoothies, matcha frappuccinos and the best and most delicious homemade cookies to accompany your drinks. They will be adding soon a few snacks on the menu and refreshing cocktails.

The Deli and more
A new arrival in Larnaca for a change! A wine bar in Finikoudes area, where you can spend your whole day starting with coffee and ending your visit with fine wines from Cypriot, Greek and international wineries. A very full menu with many breakfast options, lunch and dinner selections such as burgers, sandwiches and salads, cheese platters, Italian pizzas and more.

It looks like Paphos got in the “burger game” in full force. Burger Stories is new and it’s all about burgers of course. Black Angus burgers are the specialty here, using their very own recipes to create each dish. With selections such as the “Warrior”, “The Godfather” and “make your own” burgers where you choose the type of meat, the bread and all the sides to go with it. Strictly for burger addicts.
50 Megalou Alexandrou, Paphos
Another one for Paphos that goes by the name Chocology. With a total of 165 different chocolate varieties from all around the world, the shop offers selections such as truffles, chocolate bars, luxury chocolates, even the awarded Chocolate Naive brand, from Lithuania.

Seed of Happiness *coming soon*
Seed of Happiness will be “landing” soon in Nicosia, with a strictly vegetarian, vegan and piscatorial menu. Chia Puddings, Beetroot Falafel Wraps, recipes with grilled lettuce, Homemade Granola Bites and more. Serving healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks, delivery based at first and who knows what’s next!
