The Makenzy area in Larnaca has always been there with a number of traditional and fish restaurants next to each other, at a good location in Larnaca (right on the beach), but was never really exploited for 21st century standards. Ammos was the first of its kind and was everything the area needed: a modern restaurant/bar/club/beach bar, open all day offering day and night fun. One can go during the day to relax on the large sofas on the beach (often with loud music), to have lunch on any day, or to have a drink until late at night.
The cuisine is mostly international offering anything from sushi platters, to Mexican sandwiches and fresh salads.
The food is definitely not the highlight, even though the imagination of the chef is quite wild and the ingredients are quite fresh, but the place itself is nice and relaxing and only 30 minutes from the capital.
