I am not very famous for admitting my mistakes but living in Limassol for almost one year and not having tried Cold Stone Creamery ice cream is, I admit, a mega foul. As most American places it is an overload of sugar and calories but tastes fantastic.
Apart from the standard ice cream, it is famous for their cold stone. As the name suggests, after choosing your base flavour (vanilla, chocolate, fruit and other ice cream flavours) you can select other toppings that are melted together on a cold stone. Toppings include nuts, fruit, candy, chocolate and anything else you can imagine. Greedy as I was, instead of trying a simple combo I went for one of their suggested signature creations, “the pie who loved me” that included cheesecake ice cream, oreos, fudge and pie curst, a true delight! It was perfectly sweet, served in a crunchy sugar cone that balanced the ice cream a bit. Even though I ordered the smaller size (“Like it” at 2.75€) instead of the large one (“Gotta have it” at 6.90€), it was still enough to give me energy for a 2 hour gym session! It is definitely more differentiated than anything else I have tried, and if you are an ice cream fan and don’t have a Cold Stone Creamery near you, it is worth the drive to Limassol for that alone! If your friends are on a diet they can have salads or sandwiches and if they are not on a diet but don’t like ice cream they can try the waffles or the cakes. If they don’t want any of the above they can just sit outside and watch the tourists and locals go by over a cup of coffee!

As of 29th of June it is also open on Ledras st, Nicosia
