Apart from the restaurant’s inclusion in the article on Pomos, Poli and Latsi, I felt that a separate post was needed. Its location is fantastic as it is merely a few meters from the sea, but most importantly its food, service and value for money have managed to attract new loyal clients, us.
It is mostly known for its fish, even though it also serves a few meat dishes. With the help of the very friendly owner we chose from whatever was in the fridge, which had been fished on the same day. This means that the seafood selection is not extremely wide, but at the same time it is also one of the highlights as the quality of the seafood remains high. The red mullet was very fresh, and perfectly crispy and so was the “skaros” (parrotfish). The calamari was equally good and even though not so soft it was quite tasty. To finish off we were kindly offered watermelon, “karidaki” sweet and coffee.
Apart from the perfect location, the friendly service, the fresh seafood and the generous people, we were also surprised to find out that they have their own sunbeds right in front of the restaurant that one can use for free. Moreover, rumour has it that their sister restaurant (Perigiali sti Poli), despite not being on the beach, is equally good and in Nicosia. The verdict was very positive as we both left satisfied (even though 70€ poorer). We would be happy to return and are looking forward to try the one in Nicosia!
