A friend of mine who knows my obsession for jewellery (mostly faux bijoux), had once mentioned that, upon my arrival in Limassol the very first shop I should visit is Bags of Fun. The truth is that the first time I passed by it I was slightly disappointed, firstly because I thought it would sell bags and secondly because it looked like a long forgotten jewellery shop rather than something stylish and cool. Having said that, being a person that likes to look for hidden treasures and explore the less obvious I decided to pay it a visit. Little did I know that I would discover hidden treasures of a century!
It might be small in size, but don’t be fooled. It displays more than 22,000 pieces, including vintage ones by top designers in the 1900’s up to today. Apart from earrings, necklaces, rings and pendants, it also has an amazing number of brooches, tie-pins and cufflinks. It might seem untidy but in reality 
it is very well organized with items being grouped into type and colour. You do need to dig out and play around to find what you like, but I personally thought that was one of the best parts of the whole concept… and the highlight? The fact that the prices are outrageously low. Paying 14.50€ for 6 items (!!) is not very common nowadays. A necklace for 1.50€, a pendant for 3.75€ (pictured right) and a vintage chain for 1.75€ is more than what I could ask for!
If you like jewellery, you like market-type shops, you like vintage and don’t mind digging them out then this is a must-visit. I am sure the English lady who owns it does not even begin to comprehend how cool her shop is!
