I don’t usually write about coffee shops unless they are a non-chain café/restaurant or café/bar. Even though Mocca Café is a standard café (still not part of an international chain), I have been visiting it for my morning coffee away from the centre for the past year so I feel I need to make an exception.
It is not something massively different or exceptionally unique but it has everything one needs for a good coffee break (especially a morning one):
– a café latte at 2.50€ and an Americano at 2.25€
– large selection of tasty healthy yoghurt pots with or without muesli
– energising fruit smoothies with low fat yoghurt
– my favourite flat white, a fantastic creamy and not so foamy cappuccino (aka “wet”), which reminds me of an authentic Italian coffee
Good coffee is the first vital reason why I would go to a coffee place for a morning break, and, since my morning break includes working on my laptop, a small, quiet and relaxed space with a wi-fi is the second. The comfortable sofas inside and outside as well as the relatively spaced out tables are appropriate for people like myself who are looking for some privacy, peace and quiet.
If you go at lunchtime you should expect a different scene. The tasty salads and the home made paninis, triangle sandwiches and baguettes are quite 
popular amongst the workers around the area (especially since the café is across Bank of Cyprus and the Central Bank) and so are the tasty soups being served at Mocca cafe. The fact that the salads are priced at 4.90-5.80€ and the sandwiches from 3.90€ is another plus since, at these times price is an important factor.
Mocca Café simply shows that, it doesn’t take humongous spaces, extraordinary decorations, international franchises or a massive selection of products to make a good café, but simply good coffee, quality food (including a healthy option) and a pleasantly relaxed environment with comfortable chairs and sofas.
