ANANAs 8Bit Coffee

ATHINAS 35A-35B (next to the Home of the Literature and Arts), 26600126, PAPHOS
Mon-Sun 9.30am – 10.30pm
ANANAS 8Bit Coffee is closed for the summer season 2017. Back in business in September 2017.
I wanted to go to Paphos for some time now and I could never get to it. As soon as my friend called and told me about this hip coffee shop that I had to visit and surprise, surprise it’s in Paphos, well, I didn’t think about it too much. Hip coffee shop? In Paphos? In need of checking that out.

And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! Ananas 8Bit Coffee reminded me of those New York espresso bars with the large bright spaces, the minimal yet very cosy feeling you get as soon as you enter and of course the smell of good coffee. Very interesting decor, simple and modern, with a young crowd mostly and I got the feeling that it was a meeting place for many.

We ordered our coffee which was by Beanhaus Coffee Roasters and we couldn’t resist the homemade snacks. We tried the tahini carob pie, which was simply delicious! The place also serves drinks and so after our long walk around town, we came back for more. A good glass of wine was just the perfect way to end our visit.
But, I will be coming back Ananas, as this place is not only about coffee and snacks. I found out that very often the owner organizes very cool events with live jazz and blues gigs, cinema screenings with old movies and many artsy events.
Overall a very nice experience, very good service and a pleasant and comfortable environment to enjoy a good cup of coffee in Paphos.
