What’s better than a beautiful and dreamy garden – especially now that summer is here and we can go out and enjoy our cocktails (early or late). The truth is that I love these endless summer nights, that begin around sunset time and go on for ever. Or they feel like it anyway. For this search I went out and listed my favourite garden bars, to remind you of existing or inform you of new arrivals.
Gin Garden by Library
Library opens its Gin Garden every summer now and this is one of my favourites. It reminds me of a hidden, mystic place maybe somewhere in Italy. The green scenery, the smooth lighting, the discreet music and of course the delicious drinks. The place is very popular for its gin cocktails (what else)! Try the Lucky Bamboo Lemonade Gin with homemade lemonade, cucumber, soda and mint, if you like the not so sweet and sour flavours.

Madame Bar
Well this one is becoming more and more popular for its cool vibes and very modern interior. They have an outside bar as well and its getting packed especially on weekends. Vodka Sabrina is my personal favourite here: fruit, tea and mint flavoured vodka, mixed with a combination of citrus and hints of tropical fruits.

House Bar & Restaurant
The jasmine garden here is for the romantics with the appropriate lighting and the nice vibes you get from this beautiful old house. I like House Bar & Restaurant for the comfortable environment and the drinks and tasty snacks. Well for everything, ok. A menu with refreshing main dishes, but also very light summery salads to try here.

21 Christodoulou Sozou Street, Limassol
Lab Restaurant & Bar
Wow this garden is picture perfect. Long wooden tables, stoned walls and the star of the show, the beautiful bougainvillea spreading all over. For some reason I visit the place more during the day, I like the brightness and the calmness. But, of course you can enjoy your evenings here with cocktails and food.
33 Anexartisias, Limassol
The Gym
Gym’s garden you have to discover in a way. It’s a small back yard and I really like the fact that you see it only if you go to visit the shop located in the back. Such a beautiful and tasteful cosy garden, where you can enjoy your drinks and also book it for a private event. Try the Cin N’ Tonic if you like cinnamon, which I do and it’s my average spicy treat.

Onasagorou Street, Nicosia
Winerys At Limonchello
The small bar is located inside the actual Ayios Antonios market (a very original idea), with a rich cocktail menu and a good wine list. Platters and snacks like mini burgers, the Italian “piadina” are also served.
1 Evgenias & Antoniou Theodotou (Agios Antonis market), Nicosia
Granazi
This place is very cosy and is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Ayioi Omologites, right in between the old houses and narrow streets. The back garden is very cute and here you enjoy refreshing cocktails in the evening and freshly squeezed juices, served every day from 10.30am. Don’t forget the many interesting DJ’s gigs taking place almost every week.
14 Ayioi Omologites Avenue, Nicosia
Pivo Microbrewery
This could be one of my dream houses: an impressive old building, in the old city of Nicosia with a truly envious garden inside, serving homemade beers produced locally by the owners themselves. If you are a fan give it a shot, they have very interesting tastes, but they also have a good wine list. Oh and don’t forget the very delicious food in large tasty portions. Make a note to try the burger. Personally I think this one is indeed value for money.
36 Asklipiou Nicosia
Korniza Baroque
The bougainvillea steals the thunder of the place here. The garden is the first thing you see as you enter. You just make yourself comfortable and enjoy drinks and snacks al fresco. Live “rembetiko” nights if you are in that mood.
9 Soutsou Street, Nicosia
Il Bacaro
Established and lovely, Il Bacaro is the Italian spot which is a guaranteed option for the late summery afternoons and evenings. I like the music here, something which makes the difference, along with the lighting inside and the friendly service. Let us not forget the very detailed wine list and the popular pizzas. Personal favourites are the one with broccoli and gorgonzola cheese and the one with the anchovies. Yum!
