Summer menus all over

Many restaurants are introducing their new summer menus these days, getting us in the mood of the season changing and giving us more options for our lunch or dinner dates. They adjust their new menus to their own signature style and philosophy, but with different, lighter and in some cases more exquisite selections. I have gathered a few of my favourite ones so just call that proud Cypriot friend and check them out.


For the new summer menu, DOT offers specific vegetarian and vegan selections both in food and desserts. At the moment my personal favourite from the starters is the Marinated Fresh Anchovies Bruschetta with fennel, artichoke, tomato and basil. From the dessert selection try the Panna Cotta with coconut milk and strawberry sauce, rum and mint, garnished with caramel on top.

New menu at this beloved restaurant in Agios Antonios Market, by chef Nikos Karathanos and selections such as the Slow-Cooked Pork Ribs and the Eggplant Dip (melintzanosalata) with a whole fried eggplant, kouloumbra spaghetti and yogurt-tahini vinaigrette. A patio with one of the coolest atmospheric vibes in the capital.


The most romantic corner of the old city of Nicosia, where you dine under the stars, with discreet lighting and good music. The new summer menu here includes dishes like the Ceviche Sea Bass with radishes, grapes, chili, corn, fresh coriander and red bell pepper sauce and the Chicken Fillet Roulade with spinach, saute vegetables and soya sesame sauce. Bastione also offers specific vegetarian dishes, vegan and gluten free options for those of you choosing a certain diet.

Cook Shop

The small and cosy Cook Shop is creating a very interesting summer menu with selections like the Purple Risotto with roasted walnuts, candied beetroots, asparagus tips, manouri cheese, topped with crispy rocket. Try also the Grilled Sea Bass over yellow aromatic rice with raisins and almond flakes, seasonal vegetables, fresh coriander and lime dressing. Check out also their new nice price menu with one salad and one main course or one big salad at the price of €7.50.

Elma & Fred 

Elma & Fred, the concept store/restaurant/all day bar, is introducing their “Green Menu” with new and healthier options, served every day from 9am to 4pm. Start your day with a fulfilling breakfast and go for the Poached Egg Dish. Drink a refreshing Juice Shot and continue with your lunch. Try a healthy and light salad with fresh vegetables and grilled juicy chicken or go for the Fresh Lemony Salmon.

Food Park City

An all day restaurant bar with a beer garden and a children’s play area, Food Park City in Strovolos, offers an alternative choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, outside the city centre. Introducing now their new menu with choices such as Duck Dynasty, noodles with duck, carrots, zucchini and spring onions in hoisin sauce, the juicy Philly Cheesesteak, slices of sirloin steak topped with provolone cheese, mushrooms, red onions and bell peppers served in ciabatta bread with french fries and french dip and the Fried Calamari served with french fries and tartar sauce.
