Why are we so obsessed with potato fries? Do people know that it’s just as easy to make zucchini, sweet potato and carrot fries? Do people know that with a mere spoon of olive oil and spices one can get the yummiest (and healthiest) snacks ever?
Kudos to Lidl for the fresh vegetables and spices.
Zucchini fries
Ingredients
2 green zucchini
1 egg (beaten)
1-4 cup of grated parmesan
1 spoon of garlic powder
salt & pepper
Method
Cut the zucchini in long sticks. Put the beaten egg in a bowl. Put the spices and herbs in another bowl and mix. Pre heat the oven at 180C. Place the zucchini sticks one by one in the egg, then in the bowl of herbs until covered all around and place them in a baking tray. Put in the oven for 20 minutes and enjoy!
Sweet Potato & Carrot fries
Ingredients
2 carrots
1 large sweet potato
1 spoon of 1 spoon of dry parsley
1 spoon of olive oil
1 spoon of paprika
salt and pepper
Method
Cut the sweet potato and carrot in sticks. Mix all the herbs and spices with the olive oil in a bowl. Place the sticks one by one in the bowl of herbs and olive oil mix and place in a baking tray. Bake in a pre heated oven (180C) for 25 minutes. YUM!
