EcoHome

36 Kypranoros Street, Shops 16-22, 22380707, NICOSIA

Style conscious and environmentally aware, sustainable and eco-friendly items with anything from freshly-made face creams to handmade soya candles with products supporting local makers…I don’t know if that caught your attention, but I was certainly alarmed when I realised what Eco Home Store had to offer.
Although I have visited the shop before for their Contigo water bottles (BPA free with a filter for lemon and herbs), it was only now that I realised the depth and breadth this shop had in store.
It’s clearly a concept store as you can find lifestyle items, beauty, decor, bags and t-shirts, where everything has one thing in common: they are all made with natural ingredients using sustainable methods and at the same time, giving back to the community without compromising on style and aesthetics.
Every maker was carefully hand-picked before having their products displayed in the shop. Some of my favourite ones were definitely Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics with soaps, face & hand creams, balms and scrubs made in Cyprus with local and of course, natural, ingredients…
…and Gaia Olea with unisex bath & body products (yes, I am now using an all-natural handmade toothpaste and toothbrush – not to mention the sun screen!).
The Cyprus-made soy candles made in Limassol by Candlelit Day are certainly filling up some of my gifting needs already… while LoveMilo a boutique home ware and décor studio, based in Cape Town with beautiful handmade cups and bags does not need any captions, the pictures speak for themselves.
